Stick With It: How to Actually Achieve Your New Year Goals

Welcome to 2020! Anyone else feeling some new decade, new attitude vibes? Just me? It can’t be!

Well, congratulations to you – you arrived here in 2020 with your health and I’m sure you are ready to make amazing things happen in 2020 for your wellbeing and mobility. Luckily, you are in the right spot!

Whatever it is that you want to accomplish and whatever it is that you want your life to look like, I am here for it. I morphed my career into something I am extremely, extremely passionate about – helping people live pain-free, more comfortable lives through body-saving yoga and mobility techniques.

My wish for you this new year is better mobility, better health, and more fun! Sometimes though, the buzz around the new year, the pressure you place on yourself to achieve insane goals, can honestly make January stressful AF. I want you to know that you can seek joy, accomplish your goals, and be a happier, healthier you without stressing yourself out this month.

Pick One Thing
Don’t try to do multiple things. Please, please, please! ?? You will be exhausted. Pick one thing and focus on that for 30 full days. Trying to exercise, drink green tea, eat healthy, meal prep, do an hour of meditation, listen to 5 podcasts, read a book, learn a language, and groom your cat each and every day is madness. You will tire yourself out almost immediately, I can assure you.

Choose what you want to focus on improving, and chase it. Trying to multitask and implement a bunch of new habits all at once isn’t sustainable. Pick your thing, commit to it for 30 days, and enjoy the results you see from your brand new habit!

Keep It Tidy
I’m not suggesting that you clean your place meticulously every single day, but sometimes clutter has a way of making you feel more frazzled or overwhelmed than is necessary. Do your best to keep your spaces organized through the week, which will free up more time and energy to focus on your goal and even spend some extra time on very necessary and well-deserved self-care!

Stay Engaged
Forming new habits always works a little better if you are able to stay engaged. I’ve never felt motivated to stick with something if I find myself super bored, so I know you might find it challenging too! If you can learn something new that helps you with your wellness journey, that will keep it interesting for 30 days and beyond!
